The School of Accountancy and Business Management Women’s Volleyball Team ensured a Semi-finals spot after keeping their unblemished 7-0 record to end the preliminaries by defeating the School of Natural Sciences (25-20, 25-18).
After not dropping any set throughout the eliminations, the SABM volleybelles established their confidence. “Nakakaboost ng morale,” Captain Rr Solanon admitted. “Nakakaproud din sa teammates. Nakakaproud na part ka ng team. At mas lalo kaming nagiging eager para ipanalo yung last 2 fights namin para sa SABM.”
Stalwart Gillian Sagandoy rated their performance for this year’s Intramurals as “Excellent”. “Ginawa din kasi namin yung best namin para matapos itong eliminations na walang talo,” she added.
Coach Marian Torres supplied in her prior interview that the team’s motivation to play better is their last year’s loss. “Siyempre eager sila na makabawi, from Champion to Third Place. Lahat sila nagstep up sa game at mindset lang talaga.”
“Kung gaano nila nilaban yung elims nila, ganoon din nila ilalaban yung last 2 games nila.” Coach Torres said when asked what the SABM community can expect from the team in the Semifinals. “At sana yung support din nila (during the eliminations), ganoon din yung ineexpect namin sa kanila.”
“Binigay namin yung best namin nung eliminations. Iexpect nila na bibigyan pa namin sila ng mas magandang laro,” Solanon shared. “Kung ano yung pinakita namin nung Elims, ganun din sa next succeeding games namin. Ilelevel-up pa,” Sagandoy closed.
SABM set to battle against the School of Medicine on November 22 for the Finals slot.
